Fr. Daniel Kuot, a young Sudanese Episcopal priest, visited St. Paul's and The Dalles in September, 2009.
Fr. Daniel told us about his many ordeals growing up in war-torn Sudan, about his life and ministry in two different refugee
camps, and about his eventual move to Dallas, TX, where he founded a church for the Sudanese community. After some time, Daniel
became a U.S. citizen and he now spends part of his life in the U.S. and the rest in Sudan, where he ministers to four primitive
tribes in Boma, works with Darfurian Muslims and is helping his native village return from a refugee camp to resurrect their
village on its original site. Fr. Daniel told the people of St. Pauls of the many needs in his native country, and we
responded by providing enough funds to buy a fishing boat for his village. While in Sudan, Fr. Daniel is constantly
in harms way - please keep him and all the people of Sudan in your prayers.

Driving from Portland to The Dalles, Fr. Daniel begins to see that he
is traveling into a small part of paradise on God's green earth - first stop is Multnomah Falls and a few of the photos taken there.
